BODY OF DANISH TOURIST FOUND

A 32 year old Danish national named Karb Munk Ebssen began to trek the Alagalla mountain early on Wednesday Morning. She was lodging at a hotel in Ampitiya, Kandy. Since she hadn't returned to the hotel on Wednesday evening, the Hotel Management had notified the Kandy Tourist Police. The body of the Danish national had been found during search operations conducted by Security forces including the Army.

Sri Lanka Police said that the woman had travelled from Kadugannawa to Alagalla town in a three- wheeler and she had attempted to summit the Alagalla mountain alone. The Police said that the body of the Danish tourist was found on the another side of the Alagalla mountain range. 

Further investigations into the incident are underway.
