May Day rallies planned ahead of 127th International Labour Day

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Tomorrow marks the 137th International Labor Day, and May Day rallies are set to take place across Colombo and Kandy, organized by the main political parties of Sri Lanka.

The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna's May Day rally will take place tomorrow evening at Borella Campbell Park grounds, according to General Secretary Sagara Kariyawasam. The United National Party's May Day rally will be held at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo, according to General Secretary Palitha Range Bandara.

The May Day rally of Samagi Jana Balawega will take place at the A.E. Gunasinghe grounds in Colombo, while the Freedom People's Alliance's rally will be held in Kandy, according to MP Dullas Alahapperuma. The Janata Vimukti Peramuna's May Day rally will take place at Viharamahadevi Park in Colombo, and the Sri Lanka Freedom Party's rally will take place in Kandy.

Police Spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa has announced that special security measures will be in place in Colombo and Kandy tomorrow, along with a special traffic plan in effect in Colombo.

On the occasion of the 137th International Labor Day, the people of Sri Lanka can expect an eventful day ahead with May Day rallies organized by different political parties.
