Water supply to many areas disrupted due to leak in main supply line

COLOMBO (News 1st); The water supply to multiple areas including Battaramulla, Kaduwela, Kotte and Maharagama disrupted due to a leak in the main water supply line in Polduwa, Battaramulla.

The National Water Supply and Drainage Board said that the leak was reported on the main water supply line to the Jubilee Post Water Tank in Kotte.

It added that personnel were dispatched to the located to rectify the issue.

The National Water Supply and Drainage Board said that the Water supply will be interrupted in Kotte & Kaduwela MC areas, Maharagama & Boaralesgamuwa UC areas, Colombo 04,05,07 & 08 till 9.00 pm on Fridayu (28).

This is due to breakdown of transmission pipeline from Ambatale treatment plant.
