Sri Lanka to continue with increased fuel quota

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka has decided to continue with the increased weekly fuel quotas until further notice. The fuel quota was increased for the New Year festive season, with effect from the 5th of April 2023.

The Ministry of Power and Energy in a statement said that there was no change in the monthly fuel purchase orders despite increasing the weekly fuel quota. It added that the incidents of abusing the QR system considerably dropped after the fuel quota was increased.
