Increase in mental complications due to rise in environmental temperature

COLOMBO (News1st) - Psychiatric experts say that mental complications have increased among the public due to the increase in environmental temperature.

Specialist in Psychiatry at the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital, Dr. Rumi Ruben says that not only mental patients but also healthy people are facing this situation.

Meanwhile, the Department of Meteorology informs the people to be careful as the temperature may rise in several districts today.

The Department of Meteorology says that the temperature may rise to between 39 and 45 degrees Celsius in some parts of the island.

The announcement states that normal temperatures are expected in the districts of Galle, Matara, Ratnapura, Kegalle, Nuwara Eliya, Badulla and Matale today.
