LIVE: 4 years since 2019 April Attacks

COLOMBO (News 1st); Today marks four years since the 2019 April Attack took place.

On Friday, 21 April, Srilankans are invited to join a new campaign asking for truth and justice for the victims of the 2019 Easter bombings , for “the good and the future of the country”.

His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith has consistently questioned the government’s narrative of the attacks calling for an international investigation.

He invited Srilankans from all faiths to join a human chain protest (Jana Paura) on Friday, supporting the Church’s quest for truth and justice over the attacks.

On 21 April 2019, suicide bombers attacked 3 churches and 3 hotels, killing 269 people and injuring more than 300, while leaving a number of others permanently disabled.
