UL 605 reaches Sri Lanka after being delayed for almost 48-hours

COLOMBO (News 1st); SriLankan Airlines Flight UL-605 from Melbourne to Colombo, which was delayed for more than 24 hours due to technical difficulties, reached Sri Lanka at 7:40 AM on Monday (17).

UL 605 reached Sri Lanka with 218 passengers and 17 crew, said the national carrier.

The flight was scheduled to leave Melbourne at 4.10 PM on Saturday (15), and was to reach Sri Lanka at 10:25 PM the same day.

SriLankan Airlines Flight UL - 605, flying from Melbourne to Colombo was rescheduled to fly at 4.30 PM on Sunday (16), however, it was delayed once again.

In order to rectify the issues onboard the flight, a team of six engineers were flown to Melbourne on Saturday (15) night.

The Duty Manager of the Katunayake Airport confirmed to News 1st that UL 605 returned to Sri Lanka on Monday (17) morning.
