Colombo (News 1st) - The Indian airline SpiceJet has grounded two pilots after a photo went viral of them having patties and coffee in the cockpit during a flight, Indian media reported.
India’s aviation regulator issued a warning to the airline. Airlines have strict rules regarding food and beverages in the cockpit.
The incident had apparently taken place on board a flight from Delhi to Guwahati on March 8.
The photo showed an uncovered coffee cup with the SpiceJet logo, on the cot=ntrol panel, together with a fried pastry known in India as ‘gujiyas’, similar to Sri Lanka’s ‘pattis’.
