Pakistan bans Wikipedia for 'blasphemous content'

Colombo (News 1st) - Pakistan has blocked the online encyclopedia Wikipedia for what it calls blasphemous content, after Wikipedia failed to meet a deadline for the removal of content that Pakistan considered blasphemous.
Pakistan’s Telecommunications Authority said Wikipedia failed to meet a 48-hour deadline. Pakistan has banned a number of social media platforms including Facebook, Tinder, Grindr and YouTube.
