COLOMBO (News 1st); The number of MOH divisions declared as high-risk zones for dengue has increased to 61.
The National Dengue Control Unit said 79,225 dengue cases have been identified so far this year.
The highest number of dengue cases, 36,862, were reported from the Western Province.
The National Dengue Control Unit said the number of dengue-related deaths also increased to 47.
Programmes are currently being implemented across the island to control the spread of dengue.
The Dengue Control Unit urged people keep their surroundings clean to prevent the spread of dengue.
