Man dies after hospital wall collapses in Kadugannawa

COLOMBO (News 1st); A father of one lost his life after he was crushed under a wall that collapsed at the Henwala Divisional Hospital in Kadugannawa.
News 1st correspondents said that an old wall located close to a ward at the Henwala Divisional Hospital in Kadugannawa collapsed when workers were preparing the foundation for a new wall to be constructed.
The incident took place at noon.
The man who died, after being crushed under the weight of the wall, was 33-year-old Ranjith Abeyratne. He was the father of a one-and-a-half-year-old child.
The remains were moved to the Henawala Hospital in Kadugannawa, and the Kadugannawa Police are investigating the incident.
