COLOMBO (News 1st); In a major crackdown on drug trafficking and criminal activity, Sri Lankan police seized vehicles worth over 67 million rupees from individuals suspected of involvement in these illegal operations.

The raids, conducted by the Illegal Property or Assets Investigation Division, took place over the past 24 hours.

Acting Inspector General of Police Deshabandu Tennakoon visited the site to inspect the seized vehicles.

He addressed the media, stating that these assets belonged to individuals targeted in "Operation Justice."

"These are the possessions of drug traffickers and underworld criminals who were the focus of Operation Justice," Tennakon said. "While they may have fled the country by now, they cannot escape justice. They cannot take their homes and possessions with them. We will confiscate all of these assets. Even if they are in hiding, their property will be taken away."
