Dan-owita Rubber Factory Goes Up In Flames

Colombo (News 1st): A massive fire engulfed a rubber factory in Dan-owita, Meerigama.

The Fire Brigade said that units from Colombo and Gampaha were deployed to the site in order to contain the fire.

The inferno occurred at approximately 9:20 on Monday night, and firefighters have been unable to douse the fire completely. 

It is reported that the fire erupted in an area where chemicals are stored.

No injuries were reported, and the fire brigade said that measures have been taken to contain the fire.
