Budget to provide long-term solutions to short-term crises - State Finance Minister

COLOMBO (News 1st) - State Minister of Finance Ranjith Siyambalapitiya said that the 2024 Budget will focus on uplifting Sri Lanka in the long-term and solving the people's issues in the short-term.

He said that the Budget was prepared for long-term stability and based on the declaration President Ranil Wickremesinghe made when he took office that the country will not experience an economic downfall again.

He said that attention was drawn to the people in need of relief, and the restructuring of foreign debt.
