Heavy showers across Sri Lanka

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Met Department said Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Northern, North-central, Central and Eastern provinces.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in other provinces of the island after 02.00 p.m on Sunday (12).

Heavy showers above 100 mm are likely at some places in Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa, North-central and Eastern provinces.

The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
