PHIs launch two-day token strike

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Public Health Inspectors' Association of Sri Lanka said that they have commenced a two-day token strike, based on several demands including an increase in the transport allowance.

Secretary of the Sri Lanka Public Health Inspectors' Association Upul Rohana said that all officers under the association will partake in the trade union action today and tomorrow.

Rohana added that even though the association will be engaged in trade union action, the essential services will not be disrupted.
