Dengue on the rise; 24 risk zones islandwide

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The National Dengue Control Unit said that the number of dengue risk zones across the island has increased to 24.

Its director Dr. Nalin Ariyaratne stated that at the same time, it will be possible to observe an increase in the number of dengue cases in the future.

Dr. Ariyaratne requests the general public to utilize Fridays as a weekly cleaning day and act towards destroying breeding locations of dengue mosquitoes.
