Committee appointed to probe Diana assault case to begin investigations

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The committee to probe the recent alleged assault of State Minister Diana Gamage will begin their investigations on Monday (23).

The committee is chaired by Deputy Speaker Ajith Rajapaksa.

Deputy Speaker Ajith Rajapaksa says that a final report on the matter will be handed over to Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardana on November 7.

State Minister Diana Gamage and MPs Rohana Bandara and Sujith Sanjaya Perera have filed complaints with the Police regarding the incident as well.
