COLOMBO (News 1st); The Bar Association of Sri Lanka has requested the Chief Justice to conduct a proper investigation into the resignation of Mullaithivu Magistrate and District Judge T. Saravanaraja.
Attorney-at-Law Kaushalya Nawaratne, the President of the Bar Association of Sri Lanka speaking to reporters, said the grounds mentioned for the resignation of the Mullaithivu Magistrate and District Judge is a very serious matter, and therefore the BASL handed over a letter to the Chief Justice seeking a proper inquiry.
He said two more letters were handed over to the country's police chief, and the Minister of Public Security demanding investigations into the matter.
The BASL said that the investigation should take place transparently.
