Discussion probing flight delays scheduled for today

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A special discussion is being held today to address the cancellation and delay of Sri Lankan Airlines flights. 

The meeting involves the Minister of Ports, Shipping, and Aviation Mr. Nimal Siripala de Silva, Sri Lankan Airlines management, pilots, engineers, staff, and trade union representatives. 

The discussion aims to gather input from these parties on measures to prevent flight cancellations and delays. The minister added that approximately 8 flights were canceled in recent days, reportedly due to technical issues.

Additionally, a flight bound for Kathmandu, Nepal, was canceled yesterday due to technical faults.
