SriLankan Airlines flight UL-181 cancelled due to technical fault

COLOMBO (News 1st) - SriLankan Airlines flight UL-181, which was scheduled to leave the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake today for Kathmandu, Nepal, has been cancelled.

It was due to a technical fault in the plane.

The BIA Duty Manager says that the flight was scheduled to depart from the airport at 08:20 on Sunday (01).

However, the plane had not left the airport until 11:00 am, and the passengers had to remain in the plan during the delay period.

Later, it was announced that the flight was cancelled, and another plane will be assigned for the journey.

News 1st correspondent reports that more than 200 passengers were inconvenienced due to the delay of the flight.
