63 year old monk murdered in Bewilgamuwa

COLOMBO (News 1st);  A Venerable Thero residing at the Pothuhera, Lihinigiriya Andawala Pothgul Viharaya, has been murdered.

According to the Police, the murder had taken place at the the house in Bawilgamuwa, where the Venerable Thero lived before he became a member of the clergy.

The deceased was 63 years old.

The reason behind the murder has not yet been revealed.
