Jeremy Renner broke more than 30 bones in snowplow accident

Colombo (News 1st) - Hollywood superstar Jeremy Renner broke more than 30 bones in a snowplow accident on New Year's Day that he barely survived.

Renner, who plays Hawkeye on Marvel's smash hit The Avengers, tweeted: "I want to thank EVERYONE for their messages and thoughtfulness. Much love and appreciation to you all. These 30-plus broken bones will mend, grow stronger, just like the love and bond with family and friends deepens."

Renner, 52, was in the hospital for two weeks during which he underwent multiple surgeries, and is now recovering at home. He was run over by his own snow plow, which weighs over 13,000 pounds, that he had parked and got down from. When it suddenly began to move, he attempted to climb into it, fell down, and was crushed.
