Minister Ali Sabry meets US State Secretary Antony Blinken

Colombo (News 1st) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ali Sabry PC met with United States Secretary of State, Antony Blinken in Washington DC, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Saturday (Dec. 03). 

The top officials had a productive meeting that focused on further strengthening the diplomatic relations between Sri Lanka and the USA. 

Moreover, a wide range of topics of mutual interest were also taken up for discussion during the meeting, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement. 

"As we near 75 years of ties, we thank Sri Lankans for their partnership and commitment to advancing shared democratic principles", US Secretary of State Antony Blinken tweeted.

Minister Ali Sabry is visiting the USA, on the invitation of the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken. During the visit, the Foreign Minister is also scheduled to meet with members of the Congress and other senior interlocutors of the US Government.
