Venerable Gnanasara Thero meets President

COLOMBO (News 1st): Venerable Galagodawaththe Gnanasara Thero met President Maithripala Sirisena along with his mother last night (May 23) at his official residence. The President's media division said that the Venerable Thero's mother expressed her appreciation to the President for extending a presidential pardon and releasing Ven. Galagodawaththe Gnanasara Thero. Ven. Gnanasara Thero was remanded over a case of contempt of court and was released last evening (May 23) after a Presidential pardon.
