Man Wanted for 88 Warrants Nabbed in Athurugiriya

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police have arrested a man wanted in connection with 88 outstanding warrants during a special operation in Gajaba Mawatha, Athurugiriya. 

The suspect, a 56-year-old resident of Wadduwa, had been evading authorities for an extended period.

Investigations reveal that the suspect allegedly defrauded numerous individuals by promising overseas employment opportunities and collecting large sums of money under false pretenses. 

After months in hiding, law enforcement successfully tracked him down and took him into custody.

According to police, the warrants were issued by Magistrate Courts in Moratuwa, Galle, Warakapola, and Panadura.
