Spill Gates Opened at Seven Major Reservoirs: No Danger Posed

COLOMBO (News 1st): The spill gates of seven major reservoirs have been opened.

The Department of Irrigation says that two spill gates of the Kala Wewa reservoir are currently open.

Additionally, four spill gates of the Rajanganaya reservoir remain open.

The Department of Irrigation added that one spill gate each has been opened at the Polgolla, Rantambe, and Canyon reservoirs.

Furthermore, four spill gates of the Weheragala reservoir and six spill gates of the Bowatenna reservoir have also been opened.

The Department of Irrigation noted that no danger is posed from this.
