Cyclone Ditwah Death Toll Rises to 618

COLOMBO (News 1st): Operations to restore the lives of the people affected by the disaster are continuously underway, with the participation of the Tri-Forces, Police, Disaster Management Center, foreign relief teams and many more. 

According to the Disaster Management Center, the death toll reported across the island due to the devastation caused by Cyclone Ditwah has risen to 618.

209 persons, reported missing.

100,124 people belonging to 29,874 families are being sheltered in 990 safe centers.

The total number of affected persons is 2,078,436.
