COLOMBO (News 1st); Two MI-17V5 helicopters of the Indian Air Force (IAF) touched down in Sri Lanka this evening to bolster ongoing Search and Rescue (SAR) operations.
The aircraft carried 22 personnel along with essential Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) supplies to support relief efforts in flood-affected regions.
The helicopters were captained by Wing Commander Nagesh Kumar and Wing Commander Mukul Mahajan, who will lead their mission teams in close coordination with Sri Lankan authorities to ensure swift and effective response.
