Cyclone Ditwah Moves Away: Heavy Rain and Strong Winds to Ease Tomorrow

COLOMBO (News 1st);According to the Department Of Meteorology, Cyclone Ditwah Is Currently Centered 80 Kilometers Northeast Of Jaffna.

The Department said that the System Will Move Northward while leaning towards Northwestward And Reach The Tamil Nadu Coast In India Tomorrow.

Additionally, the officials at the department said that As The Cyclone Moves Away From The Island, A Significant Decrease In Rain And Wind Conditions Is Expected.

However, Heavy Rains Exceeding 100 Millimeters Are Possible In The Northern, North Central, Central And North Western Provinces Tonight.

The Department's Weather Forecast States That Moderately Heavy Rains Exceeding 50 Millimeters Are also Possible In The Sabaragamuwa And Western Provinces.

In addition the Met Department Says That Very Strong Winds Of Up To 50 To 60 Kilometers Per Hour Are Possible In The Northern, North Central, Central And North Western Provinces As Well As In The Trincomalee District.

At Times, Gusty Winds Of Up To 70 To 80 Kilometers Per Hour May Also Occur In Those Areas.
