President Receives Credentials from Five Nations

COLOMBO (News 1st); Diplomatic ties strengthened as five newly appointed envoys formally presented their Letters of Credence to President Anura Kumara Dissanayake at the Presidential Secretariat.

The group included three Ambassadors and two High Commissioners, representing countries across multiple continents. 

The envoys are:

Isabelle Marie Catherine Martin, High Commissioner of Canada (Colombo)

Wiebe Jakob De Boer, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (Colombo)

Matthew John Duckworth, High Commissioner of the Commonwealth of Australia (Colombo)

Abdenor Khelifi, Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria (New Delhi)

Benedikt Höskuldsson, Ambassador of the Republic of Iceland (New Delhi)

President Dissanayake welcomed the diplomats and expressed his commitment to strengthening bilateral relations.
