Police Arrest 1,314 Suspects in Nationwide Raids

COLOMBO (News 1st): According to Sri Lanka Police 1,314 suspects have been arrested during raids conducted yesterday as part of the nationwide drug prevention initiative "A Nation United".

Among the arrested, 419 people were found in possession of heroin and 480 with crystal methamphetamine (ICE). 

Police have seized 1kg and 202 grams of ICE, 863 grams of heroin, and 197 kilograms of cannabis.

Authorities have obtained detention orders for 31 suspects, while 8 individuals identified as drug users have been referred for rehabilitation.
