COLOMBO (News 1st); The investigation into the murder of Ganemulla Sanjeewa has uncovered numerous details related to various criminal activities.

Notably, the investigation into the van used by the gunman to flee the scene has revealed significant findings.

It has been discovered that this van was in Middeniya, where Meegas-Are' Kajja and his two children were murdered, just days before the Ganemulla Sanjeewa assassination.

The driver, currently under a detention order, reportedly traveled to Middeniya on the 16th and stayed at a hotel near the Middeniya Police Station that night, returning on the 17th.

On February 18th, Meegas-Are' Kajja and his children were shot and killed in Middeniya.

Investigators are now examining potential connections between the triple homicide in Middeniya and the murder of Ganemulla Sanjeewa.

At the same time, three suspects arrested in connection with the Middeniya triple homicide are currently being interrogated under a 90-day detention order, granted at the request of the police and the Secretary of Defense.

The suspects, known by the aliases Jeevan, Navy Ruwan, and Singithi Kalu, are believed to have carried out the murders under the instructions of Backhoe Saman, who is currently residing in Dubai.

Additionally, police have identified a suspect involved in a shooting at the Minuwangoda-Patthaduwana junction yesterday.

A three-wheeler driver who is believed to be closely associated with Kehelbaddara Padme, who is suspected of orchestrating the assassination of Ganemulla Sanjeewa, was injured in the shooting.

The injured individual is currently receiving medical treatment.
