Colombo (News 1st): The Election Commission of Sri Lanka is set to convene a special discussion today involving all election officials and commissioners to strategize for the upcoming presidential election.
Chairman of the Election Commission R.M.A.L. Ratnayake said that the meeting will include election officials, assistant election commissioners, and deputy election commissioners.
He emphasized that the primary agenda of the discussion will be to outline future activities and preparations essential for the smooth conduct of the presidential election.
Next week, the Election Commission intends to summon all ministry secretaries to provide comprehensive guidance on necessary measures to uphold the integrity of the electoral process.
The Election Commission also plans to engage heads of state and semi-government institutions in informative sessions aimed at enhancing their understanding of election laws and regulations.
