Heavy Showers and Thunderstorms Expected Across the Island

COLOMBO (News 1st) - According to the MET Department, Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places over most parts of the Island during the afternoon or night. 

Heavy showers about 100 mm can be expected at some places in Central, Sabaragamuwa, Southern and North-western provinces and in Kalutara district.

The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
