All VIP Security Officers Reallocated to Regular Duties - Acting IGP

COLOMBO (News 1st):Acting IGP, DIG Priyantha Weerasuriya, said that officers assigned for VIP security will be allocated to regular duties.

He made these remarks during his visit to Kandy yesterday.

Upon arriving in Kandy, acting IGP paid homage to the sacred relics at the Temple of Tooth.

He was welcomed at the Temple of Tooth by Diyawadana Nilame, Pradeep Nilanga Dela.

Following this, the acting IGP met and engaged in discussions with the chief prelates of the Malwathu and Asgiriya chapters.
