Man Murdered Using Sharp Weapon in Biyagama

COLOMBO (News1st): An individual residing in Gemunu Mawatha, Biyagama was reportedly murdered using a sharp weapon.

The victim, a 30-year-old resident of Homagama, was killed last night.

Investigations revealed that the victim had noticed his three-wheeler, on fire in front of his rented room. When the individual stepped outside to see the incident, two masked men had attacked him with sharp weapons before fleeing the scene. 

The victim, who sustained critical injuries in the attack, succumbed to his injuries after being admitted to the Mulleriyawa Hospital. 

Investigations are underway to apprehend the suspects.
