Committee on Pres. Candidate Security Meets NEC

COLOMBO (News 1st); The special committee appointed by the President to monitor the security of Former Presidents and Presidential Candidates of the upcoming election met the National Election Commission.

Chairman of the National Election Commission R.M.A.L.Rathnayake said the committee updated the commission on security provided to Presidential Candidates.

A group including the Chief of the Defence Staff General Shavendra Silva, Secretary to the Ministry of Public Security Viyani Gunathilaka, and the Chief of National Intelligence attended the meeting.
