Colombo (News 1st): The Election Commission is scheduled to meet this morning.
Chairman of the Elections Commission, R.M.A.L. Rathnayake, said that many issues related to the conduct of the presidential election will be discussed during today's meeting.
Chairman R.M.A.L. Rathnayake added that the meeting will address whether the election can be held without the presence of an IGP and will also resolve the concerns related to this matter.
Additionally, the chairman also noted that today's discussions will focus on ensuring security for tasks such as the submission of nominations.
