Injunction order preventing Wijeyadasa from acting as SLFP Chairman extended

COLOMBO (News1st); The injunction order preventing Minister Dr. Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe, PC, from acting as the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) has been extended again until the 25th of June.

The order was issued when the petition filed by Treasurer of the SLFP Lasantha Alagiyawanna was taken up again before the Colombo District Court on Tuesday (11).

The injunction order also prevents Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe from working as a member of the SLFP.

When the petition was called on Tuesday (11), the respondent requested court for more time to submit objections regarding the petition.

Court granted time and issued an order extending the injunction until the 25th of June, after considering the facts.
