Supplementary Budget Planned for Early 2025 - Ranjith Siambalapitiya

State Minister of Finance, Ranjith Siambalapitiya says that due to 2024 being an election year, a supplementary budget will be presented for the first few months of 2025, instead of the Annual Budget.

The Minister expressed these views this while speaking to the media after a program held in Ruwanwella this morning.

The Minister said that according to the 2024 budget, the parliament approval can only be granted to the income and expenditure till the 31st December 2024.

He further said that the approval should be seperately obtained for the income and expenditure for 2024.
