Retired Major General Remanded in Human Trafficking Case

COLOMBO (News 1st); A retired Sri Lanka Army Major General, and seven others who were arrested for trafficking retired Sri Lankan military personnel to Russia to fight in the frontlines, were remanded to the 13th of June.

The case was taken up at the Negombo Magistrate's Court.

The Human Trafficking, Human Smuggling, and Maritime Crimes Division of the Criminal Investigation Department had arrested the suspects and produced them in court.
