US Ambassador Meets Sri Lanka's Central Bank Chief; Advocates for Strong Governance

COLOMBO (News 1st); The United States has underscored the need for good governance and transparency.

US Ambassador to Sri Lanka Julie Chung held talks with the Governor of the Central Bank this week.

In a post on X, the Ambassador noted that she discussed bilateral ties, debt restructuring and ongoing reforms with Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe at the US Embassy premises.

She had underscored the need for good governance and transparency as the United States continues to support the development of a strong and dynamic Sri Lankan economy.
