Navy Coast Guard vessel sinks in Kankasanthurai

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A Coast Guard vessel belonging to the Sri Lanka Navy has sunk in the sea near Kankasanthurai.

Navy media spokesman Captain Gayan Wickramasuriya says that the said vessel sank during a mission of bringing ashore another vessel that had met with an accident.

He confirmed that no Navy officers were injured in the incident.
