Former Kurunegala Mayor Thushara Sanjeeva imprisoned over demolition of Kurunegala "Bhuvanekaba Raja Sabha Mandapam"

Five people including former Mayor of Kurunegala Thushara Sanjeeva were sentenced to three years of rigorous imprisonement for the demolition of the "Bhuvanekaba Raja Sabha Mandapam".

The order was made by the Kurunegala High Court.

Charges were filed in connection with the demolition of the building with "Bhuvanekaba Raja Sabha Mandapam" which has archaeological value in the Kurunegala.
