COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka's Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella said that the emergency procurement of medicines will be suspended with immediate effect.
He made this comment while speaking to reporters in Colombo on Monday (2).
At the same time, he posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, that a Medicinal Management and Strategizing Committee (MMSC) was appointed to oversee, evaluate, and regulate the purchasing processes within the ministry.
The Minister also posted that decisions were taken to regulate, standardize, and further expedite the process of drug procurement for Sri Lanka.
